It is an exciting time for the Milton Keynes Community Foundation’s Acorn House Project, with the arrival of two new project staff members to take forward the initiative.
Dr Phyllis Starkey, Member of Parliament for Milton Keynes South West and Chair of the Select Committee on the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), visited the Milton Keynes Community Foundation’s Acorn House initiative last month to show her support for the development of the flagship building for the local voluntary sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
A new flagship building for the voluntary sector and small and medium sized enterprises in Milton Keynes will be further enhanced by an additional donation
of £5,000 from the Open University.
Milton Keynes Community Foundation is delighted to have secured £375,000 in funding from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for phase one of an extensive refurbishment project of its Acorn House building on Midsummer Boulevard.
The Foundation's Acorn House Project has been boosted by the provision of a top of the range Sharp MX Networked Colour Phocopier by local firm, Admiral Business Systems.
The state of the art conference suite at Acorn House has upgraded its service provision further and is now able to offer free wireless Internet access to clients who use the suite. Acorn House is one of the few city conference facility providers currently offering this service.
